Includes 16 Degree 3-1/4-in Full Round Head Coil Framing Nailer - NV83A2, Safety Glasses - 875769Some building codes require full-head nails. This Hitachi framing nailer supports full, round-head, coil-wire-collation nails from 2 to 3-1/4 inches. It's a well-balanced tool that feels good in the hand, and it weighs only 8 pounds, so user fatigue is less than it is with other heavier framing nailers. The handle is slim and ergonomic, and the rubber grip is a nice touch that enhances the tool's comfort level. The Hitachi has one of the more aggressive tips of any nailer, which means the tip features prominent spikes to grip material for toe-nailing. (There's a plastic no-mar tip cover available for finish applications.) The open nose makes cleaning simple jams easy, but for tough jams you'll need to undo a hex screw to release the magazine. Hitachi pneumatics are known for their reliability and relatively low maintenance requirements, and this nailer features the same simple and efficient components that have built Hitachi's stellar reputation. I purchased this gun about a year and a half ago. I have waited to give my opinion for some time due to the fact that I use this gun constantly, and wanted to see how this gun would preform over an extended period of time before making a recommendation.This gun has never, ever, let me down. I am in construction and the Hitachi NV83A is my best friend. Sure the gun would periodically jam here and there, open the front loader and remove the nail, end of story. This thing is so durable and honest that it is a pleasure to pick up.
If you are contemplating buying a framing gun... I strongly recommend the Hitachi NV83A.
