Tools and Hardware Reviews of Hitachi 726213 Tool Mount for UU610 Miter Saw StandCustomer Review: Solid mount! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this mount as a part of my TracRac 24322 T3 miter saw workstation a few years ago, not as a separate order. Both Hitachi UU610 and TracRac T3 are made by TracRac, but the T3 comes with a wealth of standard items. The same items are optional (need to be ordered separately) with the Hitachi.
The mount is great and fits the workstation perfectly. It is made of aluminum, solidly built and very light weight. It has little rubber legs that keep it level for stand-alone use. The rubber legs are not used (just hanging in the air not touching anything) when installed on the miter saw stand. I keep my mount on the saw at all times and I love it. The mount tool is well balanced and I can literally use one finger (or no hands at all - do not attempt that, though :-) to keep the saw balanced on top of the saw stand while I'm locking the mount. The two levers need to be turned 45 degrees each to lock (or unlock) it. The locking mechanism is spring loaded and the tension required to lock/unlock can be adjusted with a simple screwdriver.
My mount came with the bolts that are required to attach the saw. But it only came with 3 bolts. I needed 4 for my particular saw. So I ran to the nearest Ace hardware store and bought an extra bolt of the same type and size (they are standard hex bolts - nothing special about them).
I am very pleased with the setup and have been using it for a hobby for several years.
